Where a lender's money goes quiet
Most lenders do not lack good borrowers. They lack one place where every loan, payment and follow-up is recorded the moment it happens.
- Ledgers that disagree. Loan cards, the cash book and the officer's notebook each tell a different story. Month-end becomes a hunt for the missing shilling.
- Arrears found too late. Nobody sees a loan slipping until it is weeks overdue. By then the borrower is harder to reach and the guarantor harder to persuade.
- Mobile Money nobody can match. Borrowers pay from any phone with any reference. Staff spend hours matching statements to loans, and some payments are never allocated.
- Approvals held up on paper. Applications wait on a desk for a signature. Good borrowers take their business to a lender who answers faster.
One record follows every loan from application to closure
Application, appraisal, approval, disbursement, repayment, collections and closure in one system:
- Books that balance. Every disbursement and repayment posts to the ledger automatically.
- Arrears seen on day one. Overdue loans land in the officer's queue the morning they fall due.
- Faster decisions. Applications move between officer, manager and committee on screen.
Sixteen modules, one database
Borrowers and KYC, loan products, applications, appraisal and risk grading, approval workflow, disbursement, repayment schedules, Mobile Money and bank, collections and arrears, penalties and fees, savings and shares, guarantors and collateral, accounting and ledger, SMS reminders, reports and PAR, users, roles and audit. Modules are switched on per tier.
Built for money that must be accounted for
- Role-based access. Officers, tellers, accountants and managers each see and do only what their role allows, with approval limits by amount.
- Full audit trail. Every disbursement, repayment, reversal and edit is logged with the user, time and computer.
- Maker-checker controls. Disbursements, write-offs and reversals need a second person to approve before they post.
- Borrower privacy. National IDs and phone numbers are masked on screen and on printouts for staff who do not need them.
- Daily backups, with restores tested, not assumed.
- You own your data. Loan book and ledgers export at any time in standard formats.
Interest rates, fees and penalties are set by the lender for each product. Regulatory report templates are supplied as a starting point and should be confirmed against current UMRA and Bank of Uganda requirements. This is not legal or financial advice.
Setup
