Where the end of term goes
Most schools do not lack good teachers. They lack one place where marks are entered once, calculated correctly and shared with parents the same day.
- Marks in a dozen notebooks. Each teacher keeps marks their own way. Collecting them for one class takes days of chasing.
- Broadsheets built by hand. Totals, averages and positions are calculated on paper or in spreadsheets, and one wrong formula moves the whole class.
- Report cards the last week of term. Hundreds of report cards are written or typed out one by one, and every correction means a reprint.
- Parents who never see them. Report cards go home in bags and get lost; parents learn how their child did weeks later, or not at all.
Every mark entered once, from mark sheet to parent's phone
Set up, enter marks, review, results, report cards, release and track in one system:
- No manual calculations. Weights, averages, levels and positions are worked out for you.
- Report cards in minutes. A whole class generated in your school's own layout.
- Parents informed the same day. SMS summaries and a portal with the full report.
Sixteen modules, one database
Learners and classes, subjects and teachers, assessment setup, grading scales, marks entry, review and locking, broadsheets, positions and rankings, report cards, comments and descriptors, progress tracking, subject analysis, parent portal, SMS results, transcripts and archives, users, roles and audit. Modules are switched on per tier.
Results you can stand behind
- Teachers see their own classes. Each teacher can enter marks only for the subjects and streams they teach.
- Every change logged. Any mark changed after submission is recorded with the old value, the new value, who and when.
- Locked after review. Once the DOS locks a class, marks cannot change without approval.
- Verifiable report cards. Each report card carries a code that confirms it matches the school's records.
- Daily backups, with restores tested, not assumed.
- Parents see their own children. Portal access is limited to each parent's own learners.
Grading scales, weights and descriptors are set by each school. Confirm them against current NCDC and UNEB guidance; the scales shown are examples, not official rules.
Setup
Every tier includes installation, configuration, data import and training. From signing to the first report cards: classes, subjects, assessments, weights, grading scales and the report card layout agreed with the DOS, learner lists and teacher allocations imported and checked class by class, teachers practise marks entry on their own classes, then TIAMTECH supports the first round of marks entry and report cards from start to finish. Best scheduled before a mid-term.
